Personal Experience

Scripture – Colossians 2:4-7: ⁴I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. ⁵For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how orderly you are and how firm your faith in Christ is. ⁶So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, ⁷rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Observation – (Write down what you see in the scripture.) If I understand and embrace the truth of Christ, I will be safe from “fine-sounding arguments.” The fact is, I have walked with Him enough and have so many personal experiences with Him, there are no arguments that can stand in the face of that. My faith is not built on logic. It’s built on trust in one who has always been faithful.

Application – (Write how you will be different today because of what you have just read.) I will continue living in Him. I will rely on the roots of my personal relationship with Christ to hold me firm in these ever-changing times.

Prayer – (Write out a brief prayer.) Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the firm foundation you provide in life. You are unshakable. Help me hang on to you no matter what comes my way.
